All kinds of masks and creams for oily skin are available in stores everywhere. But did you know that you can also fix this yourself? Just a few minutes of work for a great effect and it’s fun to do too!
Apricot – raspberry cream
This cream is suitable for oily skin and has a moisturizing property
Supplies
15 grams dried raspberry leaves
25 grams beeswax granules 6 tablespoons apricot kernel oil 2 teaspoons wheat germ oil 1 tablespoon hamamelis myrrh tincture
Preparation
Place 25 cl of boiling water in a bowl and add the dried raspberry leaves. Let this steep for 30 minutes or until it has cooled completely. Strain the decoction.
Heat the beeswax granules together with the apricot kernel oil and the wheat germ oil in a bain marie in a bowl. Stir this together with a metal spoon until a smooth mixture is formed. Add the hamamelis and, stirring constantly, add 1 tablespoon of the raspberry leaf decoction drop by drop. Remove the bowl from the water, keep stirring and finally add 2 drops of myrrh tincture. Pour the cream into a jar with a screw lid and shake the jar regularly while it cools.
Store this cream in a cool and dark place (not in the refrigerator).
Beer mask
The beer mask has a cleansing effect and is suitable for people with oily skin
Supplies
1 tablespoon plain yogurt
1 teaspoon almond water1 tablespoon beer1 teaspoon olive oil1 teaspoon lemon oil1 egg white
Preparation
Put the yogurt together with the almond water and the beer in a bowl and stir well. Add the olive oil and lemon oil and stir this mixture again into a paste. Place the egg white in a separate bowl and beat until stiff. Pour the mixture of yoghurt, beer and oil into the stiffly beaten egg white and stir everything well while making a figure eight with a spoon. Apply the mask directly to damp skin.
Leave this mask on for 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse with warm water and then wash your face with cold water to close the pores. Do not reuse the mixture that remains.
Protein – cucumber mask
Very suitable for oily skin or skin with large pores and makes the skin firmer and helps prevent wrinkles
Supplies
2 eggs
1 cucumber 1 lemon ¼ teaspoon peppermint oil 1 teaspoon vodka ice cubes
Preparation
Break and separate the eggs and beat the egg whites until stiff with a mixer. Cut the cucumber into large pieces and put them in the food processor with the peppermint oil. Squeeze the lemon and put the juice, vodka and 2 or 3 ice cubes in the food processor and let the machine run for 10 seconds. Now add the stiffly beaten egg whites and run the machine briefly until a smooth mixture is obtained.
Apply the face mask and let it sit for 10 minutes. The peppermint provides a refreshing tingle and the cucumber softens the skin. Rinse your face with warm water. This mask can be kept in the refrigerator for 48 hours.
Please note: if you have very sensitive skin, omit the vodka!
Parsley cream
Suitable for oily skin. Thanks to the collaboration between parsley and organic yogurt, it has a disinfectant effect that helps combat pimples and pimples.
Supplies
1 handful of parsley bunches
3 tablespoons organic yoghurt 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
Preparation
Wash the parsley, remove the stems and chop it into coarse pieces. Place the parsley in the food processor and mix briefly. Add the cider vinegar and mix again. Add the organic yoghurt to get a smooth cream. Transfer the cream to a bowl and cover with plastic wrap until ready to use. Store in the refrigerator.
Apply this cream as a mask and let it work for 10 to 15 minutes. Then rinse your face thoroughly with cold water. The covered cream can be kept in the refrigerator for 24 hours.
Finally
Always clean your skin thoroughly with lukewarm water beforehand. Before using a mask, it is best to steam your face for 5 minutes over a bowl of hot water. This opens the pores and gives the mask a good chance to penetrate deep into the skin.
